Hotels, Hostels, and Airbnb

The time has come! If you haven’t already booked your living arrangements for the Olympics, do so now!!!!! Nothing would be worse than buying your tickets, your flights, and then (whoops) all the hotels are full!

Rio-de10Hotels may be the most obvious choice for living arrangements while in Rio de Janeiro. There are a wide range of hotel prices and ratings, one for everyone’s budget! Hotels.com and Kayak are two easy-to-use websites for booking hotels! Another viable option (the one that I used) is Booking.com. The basis of these websites is the same, they scour the internet for your perfect hotel. If a hotel is the route you’re looking to go, DO IT NOW!!

If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, or looking to save even more, the next two options are for you! Hostels are a great way to save money, but it may be difficult to know what you are going to get when you arrive. Hostel rooms can range anywhere from a private room with beds (like a hotel), dorm room setups, or a large room with rows of bunk beds (this is what terrifies me). Hostels are perfect for those who travel without much luggage, and are looking to make new friends! Two reputable websites to book hostels are hostels.com and Hostel World.

All users have to go through a check to verify that they own the spaces they are advertising, and to make sure they are reputable and not creepy and gross (in layman’s terms). There are some amazing properties that you can stay at, and a lot of the times you’ll be much closer to the places that you want to go than if you stayed in a hotel!

Now that you know your options, get out, search, and book! Let me know which option you chose, and where you’ll be staying! Best of luck!
